Dr. Caitlyn Burns is a south Florida native, born in Coral Springs.

She obtained her undergraduate degree in Biology at Florida State University and went on to earn a masters degree in Marine Biology at Nova Southeastern University. After working with the South Florida Wildlife Center during her thesis work, she decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Dr. Burns attended St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical training at University of Florida in 2022. During her time at SGU, she served on the Veterinary Community Outreach committee that planned free health clinics throughout the island of Grenada, West Indes.

Dr. Burns professional interests include internal medicine, and dermatology. She also enjoys soft tissue surgery and has an interest in oncology. One of the most rewarding aspects of her career involves being able to help educate clients and create long lasting relationships with clients and their pets.

Dr. Burns and her husband, who is also a marine biologist, moved to Melbourne, FL about 4 years ago with their dachshund, Rue. In her time away from the clinic, Dr. Burns enjoys traveling, and is always up for a good movie, show, or book, and loves to spend time outdoors at the beach.
